Rest in peace………….Country Classic by Mangrove.
The first full collaboration tune from Dave Jones and Brad Green. A hard rocking number that was some how completed in one evening, from opposite sides of the globe. Sounds it’s best – LOUD!
A Ballad?… An Ode?… End of night thoughts?… or maybe, just the Honest Truth…. Hear what you what you will.. But tFML says “it’s just bloody good, and we want more”. Whats your vote?
“An eery little number about a compartmentalising receeded individual who holds on firmly to his safe place”
C’mon pack your singstar mic….were going to the other planet today.
An upbeat hook filled ball of good times. Radio friendly and just screaming to be danced to. Just try and not groove along with this – we dare you!
Drive The Nail doing their thing in awesome face smashing style.
First post for Melbourne based “The Keepers”. Rock epic that got a little out of hand in production but the final result is a good example of musicianship and vocal ability that is sure to please the most critics.
A little number I wrote long ago, but re-recorded the past couple of weeks. I am the singer on this one. Mellow song, finger picked guitar and synth. Guitar is my strat.

I intend on doing something with this one. Have a chorus written and some verse ideas but am yet to record them.
Update: Vocal Writing – Just testing a vocal idea with a mic in the middle of the room (the cars driving past is a nice touch). Lots of mumbles etc but trying to write a more interesting vocal melody than my usual ideas. Didnt realize I slowed it all down so much till afterwards.
Oh no looks like Tim hasnt had his Med’s.Or maybe he has had too many.We shall let you decide with this space warp.
Aparently a track proposed for the canned “Trials of a bear” sound track.
This was one of the simpler songs in our set. Fun o play but still tough to get tight. All these songs were pushing our playing skills at that point. Show mercy in your comments! Recorded live at ET’s (Melbourne 2000) direct from the house mixer.

As three of the 5 members have already submitted some of their own current stuff (Paul Coleman, Brad Green & Gobs w/ Drive the Nail) I thought I’d submit a few live gig recordings of Encryption in which they all played together. Recorded way back in 2000 at ET’s in Melbourne. Crazy odd ball riff’s and ideas that we mashed together and played as fast as we could – that was the band.. fun times..

Add 3/4 of a cup of Dave then add 1/4 a cup of Timmy. A pinch of pop. A splash of grunge.Leave to hang in a cool enviroment for approximately 2 years..Should be ready indefinitely.
More hardcore assault from Drive the Nail.

The first tFML post from Drive The Nail. Hardcore at it’s finest from the Melbourne based 4 piece. Brutally aggresive and impossible to ignore. Many more to come from these guys.

This is the first real complete collaboration between Nate Rose and myself (Dave Jones), it started with us chatting and saying we’d like to try a “radio” type sounding track and then grew from there…started with a verse-chorus idea then Nate added a bridge idea, some vox and after plenty of back and forward action this is what we have…Would love to hear your feedback and ideas as always…
