A small portion of a song i’m trying to create from a recording I made a good while back of a mate that plays Didge.. a very different idea trying to write to a mostly monotone instrument.. cool though.. I hate the hi-hat in this but it’s a very early export.. gonna be a loooong song I suspect.. but thats cool.. i’m not out to wow people with beats or riffs in this one.. just aiming for a cool vibe.. mix needs work, but hell.. i’m making it up as I go!.. any advice on direction from here would be cool..

Yeah nice mate, Vox have a nice cog influenced vibe about them? i like the vibe going on, nice and relaxed but a bit edgy like it might be building to something. Really like how you mixed the verb on the didge, way in the back and comes to front in a really nice way, and splits too, classy mate….introduction of the acoustic is timed well too. Drums are fitting, i feel like that beat could either be an understated intro or a cool breakdown beat, overall all i like where its heading and dont really have any suggestions so far. On a side note i think there is a massive space for some kick ass didge dance type tracks if they were done in a hard edge new style but thats a different topic….keep this one coming with the updates mate…
Whoops forgot my password lol,… shit.. um,… well if this message gets through,.. I thoroughly enjoyed that Brad,… Yindhi bra, yindhi,… a wee witchety grub down the spine, and a dance in awkward tribal sequence of that which depicts movements orderly on cave walls,.. onga bonga brilliant buddy.
Nice man very relaxing to listen to.
I’m flat out finding a person who can play the didge here. Agree with Dave does feel like it’s building up maybe some vodo style drumming could come into play.
This reminded me of that background music in killer instinct for the Indian guy.Nice dude
thanks for the comments guys.. wasnt sure how this idea would be taken as its kinda out of left field.. Glad it wasnt totally shot down! I need to get Mike round here again to record some more didge tracks and get his input on what he thinks would work.. going to add more to this every weekend until it reaches a natural conclusion.. no idea what that may be, or how long it might take, but hey – it seems to be the way we all make tunes on here! who needs planning? psh.. haha
Heya Brad, Scott (going by my middle name now), Mike/Michael from back when. Was waxing nostalgic and thought of our all night music sessions. Good times, mate. I love what you’ve done with the didge track here. I know it is more than a few years since you’ve posted it, but hey, nostalgia knows no boundaries of time or space.
Anyway, let’s get back in touch. [email protected]
Hope all is well, and keep the music flowing!
