A little number I wrote long ago, but re-recorded the past couple of weeks. I am the singer on this one. Mellow song, finger picked guitar and synth. Guitar is my strat.

You sing much better than I can,,..infact tone-wise you kind of remind me of Greenblob,.. your singing and harmonies has influenced me at this present moment, I keep wondering what was wrong with mine, and why no matter how hard I try I never improve,.. maybe a relaxed whispering essence the way you demonstrated might help. I love harmonies,.. and infact have a guilty pleasure of looking up russian orthodox choir church music,.. and so for somebody with an acute ear for harmonies I think this was great, there’s always the danger of having a vocal overload but your harmonies blend so well… so subtle and well.. very fitting,.. and a very good song, I enjoyed this,.. it’s a good indicator when you have a slow paced song, you realise everything has clicked into gear quite effectively when there’s no stretchy or idoling feeling whatsoever..
83% for me,.. another quality track from you.
Wow impressive mate.Love the blends and balance of this tune you have done really well. Its not over sung the lyrics are perfect. And the harmonies are sweet an all complement each other..Yeah i heard a little bit of a Mongolian thought singing in there as well. Agree with jack very similar voice to green blob but without the testie pops.
This has inspired me a bit to link lyrics together. Very professional DC.Now……..whats the bill for this one?
I will happily pay an excellent 87% as-well….Keep this shit up mate.
Yeah, very impressed with the blended harmony,..I must emphasize that again,..you can tell, by the consistant lack of lurid bits or lagging in DC’s songs, that it’s from a very experienced professional, He can wrap most things up on the run, like the ability to dance a 4 minute set while jungling 10 chainsaws at once, a real natural.
Hey Man, yeah this is super nice, agree with guys above, and what!? brad? haha sorry i hate to compare people but you deffinetly sound alot like brad green on the site…so love the feel on this track, chorus is sticky sweet melodic….like the slotted synths throughout, usually that pigeon holes songs into a certain era for me, but on this one it didn’t and i was free to enjoy the melodies without pre-judging anything….look forward to hearing more of your solo work as this is one of my fav’s of yours….any info on what gear you used in this one and recording/mixing techniques used are always appreciated too for us budding home muso’s….
Thanks guys. This was really a simple song to record.
Gear – 1985 POS Strat with cracked headstock (humbuckers in neck position.
Peavey Backstage plus for the amp
Mic = SM57 pointed down at floor in front of amp.
Zoom 505 pedal
Tracked into Nuendo
Vocals Rode NT2a into Neve clone
Synth sounds are from some old Casio wannabe synth from the early 90s.
Backing vocals – lots of edits and compression to glue them together
took a bit to grab my interest but around 2 minutes it picked up and there were a lot of cool fantastic subtleties that really stood out and pulled me in. Your harmonies, as others have said, are really good…nice addition. I’m a big fan of harmonies so nice work. Reminds me of kind of pink floyd esque style…your vocals too….yeah slightly like brads I reckon as well 🙂 cool little ethereal like solo at the end to take us to the ocean horizon….cool tune.
