So here is the first ever electro style recording i ever did! Like i said in the comments for “simos logic
test” it’snot as elaborate and complex as the logic test but i thought it was pretty cool, and was stoked
about making a tune of that style. Guest apprearences from Homer Simpson and the Melbourne
Symphony Orchestra. Hope you enjoy. P.S. The quotes from homer relate to the process of making it
my teacher thought it was pretty clever…. :-p
So, i got a little excited with posting the first one and so, now for something completely different! This was worthy of scoring a HD in my midi class and is 1 of 2 HD’s i have scored in MIDI classes so far…. hope you like…
Well…. I guessed cos i’m only new to the posting thing…. thought i’d make it a hat trick, and what better way to make up the triangle of my creativity, i searched way beyond davy jones’s locker (nah not you dave the other davey jones
), and found the first ever original recording that i ever layed down start to finish… So here it is My first ever original composition. Enjoy!
P.S. Reminiscing on this tune while i was listening, it came to my attention that this song was actually recorded in an afternoon prior to trip in the car up to the Coobang Country Club. Some may remember
this tune…
Just an instrumental that i squeezed out one day when i took a sicky from work. It was the last recording in Vanda St studios. Vocals to come still a work in progress, but the solid foundations are there….. Hope y’all enjoy. My first contribution to free music label…. Here goes!…
Ok here we go….First actual post on the site that isn’t electro or something rubbish from 1989…lol not quite but you get the idea, and hasn’t it been a long time coming. Anyhoo i had alot of fun with this over the last week and hopefully you guys can let me know if i’m heading in the right direction…looking forward to the comments on this one.
*Vocal track added by Brad Green*
Still just an idea and incomplete. Hoping for suggestions to improve this. The problems i see are: It has no real chorus, is more wussy sounding than i’d like it to be and is lacking any kind of musical hook to tie it all together.. Whats your thoughts?
An attention grabbing new wave submission from St Fawkes (SLC). Some impressive skills on display here. Recorded solo by Fawkes then the guitar parts added by Brad Green.
Since this page now has “Released” & “Unreleased” sections, i can start to get feedback on all of my half finished ideas! sweet!.. this was just a base idea that grew as it was recorded.. by no means finished.. all pretty much first takes.. whats the verdict? should i complete it or just scrap the idea?
Posted by Blob on behalf of Nate Rose.. This guy has some amazing natural talent as a song writer and musician. One of the best musicians i’ve met in SLC. Enjoy.
If the Free Music Label (tFML) was the Late Show it may sound something like this.. inspired after watching some very cheesy, unknown, late nite talk show on cable.. a shameless plug for us but hey, i think we are worth it.. hahah.. and finally found a use for my 57 reissue strat with this idea.. I really think some muso’s will get something out of this site.. but how do we find them? NOTE: the applause samples i used were found at: www.pacdv.com/sounds/applause-sounds.html. A great little site.. and like us, it’s all free..
A pretty song that was a long time in the making. The 1st half recorded in Parkes Aus, the second here in SLC.
My attempt at writing a happy tune.. Acoustic with Bongos! The positive lyric idea didn’t last much past the 1st verse but oh well.. we all agree lyrics are more interesting if they aren’t all teddy bears and rainbows don’t we?
A narrative piece to a seemingly building saga of tales masked by an overtone of a rising demigod with a defiance worthy adversary…To discern the wrath of what will ensue click play now…
A short but noisy little scream metal number.. not many vocals as i pretty much hurt myself with the few i recorded.. i have no idea how hardcore vocalists do it!
Ok I’ve got a bit of elektronika for you guy’s, I know it goes against the grain a little but hey gotta keep it interesting. This was written as an insight into my moods through the work week, 5 sections 1 for each day…Possible influences from Nightmares on Wax and Aphex Twin. Looking forward to your comments…
