Still just an idea and incomplete. Hoping for suggestions to improve this. The problems i see are: It has no real chorus, is more wussy sounding than i’d like it to be and is lacking any kind of musical hook to tie it all together.. Whats your thoughts?

I think it’s worth a little more investment Brad, I can perhaps here little influences from Nate in this one and that’s a good thing, it has potential,.. I wouldn’t be afraid of ‘wussyness’ ,… there’s no harm refraining from a little death and destruction, nor do you have to raise the dead, that is the job for video game developers and not musicians,.. my suggestion, would be to decorate your tune a little more, weave compatably smooth details, extra pipelines of little titters to help construct the groove and feeling,…also dont be afraid to pause the tune, or twist the tune,… build it up, slow it down, change your vocal tones (which to a degree you have so far).. but ofcourse…keep it all within a subtle balance,.. I think that’s the trick,..and I think you accomplished that in your smash hit,.. "For You" …. that song really raised the bar, it’s an example to help everybody.
I like the acoustic intro chords, interesting musical melody, it catches and resolves nicely. Drums are simple and really nice sounding when the verse comes in, good acoustic overlay and mellow toned electric line. Verse is great, no really critique on that. Your vocal verse line seems to fit pretty good. Parts I can hear from where it ends is a bridge and chorus, another verse obviously with a varied vocal…bit higher or stronger. Really good….I’m staying with 4 stars, I don’t care what you say 🙂 which could easily transition to 5 when it’s finished. Good work Bradley.
i get confused sometimes speaking to Dave on where Brads song pieces in on a time line. This is a nicely done tune i actually agree slightly with Mangroves comments. I Think i can tell where Brads songs piece in they all started out hard and quick with Fuck all singing. Now they"re becoming slower with more singing and less solo work.
Now i can study all the players on this sight like a documentary a mongoose being bitten by a snake.
The trick is to see if he gets up after it.
Keep jammin Dude I Likey…. 4 star
going to spend some time with this in the next few days and see if i can add more with using the suggestions here.. expect a repost by saturday.. cheers..
Brad this is one of your tidiest sounding mixdowns yet, really getting a high quality sound now. I really like the change up to the verse and is really well put together. I like that there isn’t really a chorus and i dont think it needs one, the only vice i can see is it drops off to quickly, with such a nice build up you have us all invested in what’s to come but it kind of feels like your throwing the end of the song away but i assume this is where you mean incomplete…I think it needs yet more transitions perhaps even building in complexity as Jack suggests and throw away conventional song structure. i am really looking forward to hearing more development of this one, very very tidy song overall brad…
im kinda suprised no-one has commented that the song goes totally out of time when the "band" kicks in… honestly, i cant hear past it… sticks out like dogs nuts.. maybe ive listened to it too much… lol.. and its not an easy correction… 4 guitars tracks, all different guitars, different mic placement.. possibly different rooms even… i have no way of correcting it without a total do over… it’l teach me to not record with a metronome……. dammit!
