hey man, this is really good quality. It really has a production quality about it, the sound reminds me of some of John Mayer’s stuff, very cruizy and layed back easy listening feel…The length feels a little long but over all very tasty. Good job!
Good playing and really nice lyrics.. its hard to offer much constructive criticism when i the song is pretty good all the way through.. i guess if i had to suggest something, it’d be the fair amount of fret buzz on the guitars in some sections.. but it kinda adds character to the track.. so maybe not a bad thing.. i cant fault the song length.. 5 mins is on the money.. 2vs – 2cho – bridge – final built up chorus – end.. that seems about right!.. lol…
great stuff man.. is any more tweaking going to be done? should this be moved to the "Released" section? I’ll let the other comments decide…
Well, brad and dave, thanks both for the kind words. I do have to agree a bit on the length, maybe not so much on this one…but there are other songs that i’ve written that I need to simplify and cut out parts. The fence, I feel, is a good example of that. I like all the parts, but there could be a chorus or verse that definitely could be shortened or eliminated. This song is a good one to post, it was definitely a fun one to do and I really tried to fill it out in all aspects, vocally, instrumentally. thanks again for the posting for me. I’ll be listening more and commenting more soon. peace
Your work ethic is as unrelenting as a wild, psychotic brumby that has been lashed accross the hyde,.. neeeeeeiiiiggggghhhhh!!!!,… an absolute workhorse, if you were confined to an 8 foot squared pen, you would not stop gristle muzzling the gate, and your forked trotters would angle grind the mud down to the root behind you like a hybrid helicopter / speedboat, until your skull pops and inverterbrates disconnect like whipsnapped preset bars. You like to put lots of gold rings around the neck of your songs, and if anybody tries to restrain you it would be like trying to console a suicide bomber with a warm cuddle, it is your style. Just like your last tune, the ending was a sweet, juicy, fluffy lovely, cherry bonnet dessert, after consuming a CAULDRON of oates,.. but I see it as an overelaborate introduction to the main course, the question is though,.. how many people will be banging thier knives and forks early,..and could such dissent, take away some crucial, pallated appreciation required for final consumption?… Im honestly not sure,… I’ll have to sit on the fence, a fence with no horizontal planks, a throne fit for Freddy Mercury.

Love the whole thing, very hooky….the kind of song that just makes you feel good, and isnt that what its all about, or is that the Hokey Pokey?
I gotta retract that strange statement above by me,.. Thanks to the ‘User folder freelabel files’ pumpin through the GTA radio station this song has immensely grown on me, there isn’t a single lagging bit in this at all, it’s brilliant, really really solid, beautiful vocals, harmonies, coherent and fitting lyrics and a track I never ever get tired listening to, and infact, sing along to it,.. it’s emerged as one of my very favourites on the website,.. and I withdraw my comment above and give this the full credit it deserves, a brilliant melody,..

Yep Brad,.. the lesson to be learned is, judging a tune off a mere listen or too, doesn’t always give it the justice it may deserve, fortunately I have found a way to incorperate countless listens lately, your ‘Space in time’ also, is another track that harmonises the head, and I think ‘In your shadow’ may be Polymer’s best track, I view it as a rememberence anthem for Polymer’s former beast,.. *slides a tear , I think it was his best vocal performance,.. I hope he still reads,.. wish he had some solo work to put up, etc.. Those 3 have been cutting through the lil inbuilt radio, handfuls of candy, handfuls of candy.
