Sounds very sweet Nate,… I haven’t heard the original of this song before, but I’m very very sure you did it justice. Tim knows it, and tells me you did an excellent job so, good stuff.
I fester for more of your originals though,.. I’ve been listening to alot of your stuff lately, all the great collabs with Dave and your older submissions,.. they all happen to age beautifully,.. ‘A way out’ is up there as one of the very best ever submitted onto Freelabel, and everybody unanimously agrees with that (I wish that song could get a chance to be heard more broadly). Good to see you’re still checking in.
When I hear you do something well Mr Rose, it makes me slowly shake my head, with a big grin on my face.. You have a very very nice approach and natural execution to both your playing and vocals.. truly impressive.. as mentioned in the description, this is the best recording you have done (audio capture wise) by a large margin in my opinion. Clean, spacious and beautifully balanced.. I applaud you sir.. Great to hear you again..
……………..what to say………. This is really awesome. Nate is the master of intimate with out any doubt, and to boot this song is beautifully written and with that combination it is killer. If someone told me Nate wrote this song i wouldn’t be surprised, it has all the emotion and subtleties that a Nate Rose track has, with key focus on the chord progressions and vocal restraint.
A killer cover of a kick as song, i have never seen a cover fit someone so well and Nate you do this song complete justice, in fact, i think i prefer your take. Awesome stuff mate, the only thing that saddens me is that i struggle to mix your vox this well, you have the mix down pat.
Also i really like you singing the vox harmonies with different phrasings too, awesome…
So for reference the link that inspired Nate is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gbmwRV1kaA , enjoy…
Really like the vocal parts.
The fucker can sing huh.. diggin it…
