DCWAVE – Heaven

Raw Cut – This is what I am working on next. Written about 10 years ago. Licensed the lyrics and melody through TAXI to another artists but it never went anywhere. Never recorded before. This is the rough guitars to allow me to get the timing down. We’ll see where it goes. I plan on it being much bigger and more bombastic in the choruses and second and third verses.

* Update – A short clip with a preview of where the song is going
Need to add the chorus backing vocals and then re-track the lead vocal.
Then add the lead guitar and some additional ear candy. I thought I would have it finished this weekend but came down with a wicked head cold and can’t hear anything (or sing)

You could write a book with all those lyrics! ,.. it may not have gone anywhere because it was too difficult to remember it all. I guess to transition the song, you would do it through various build ups with extra accumulative instruments in motion, maybe a gradual build up?.. the riff of the vocals were of limited sequence given the length of the song, so I'm guessing it would be the instruments job to give the track the varied course required, and that is possible, because the song that came to my head hearing this is Peter Startedt's song 'Where do you go to my lovely" ,..also, folk-songs who insert alot of lyrics use this sequence aswell,.. It will be great to hear what you can do to back this tune up, some of the guitar chords certainly hit the spot, so as usual, I'm awaiting the main-index, and salivating.

Heard the new clip DC,.. the musical accompanyment is nice,.. but what may be effecting my hearing could be the fault of my sound card,.. it's hard to say,.. the areas where the heavy instruments,.. electro guitar come in, seems to effect the volume balance of the vocals, and drowns them out,.. now from your end, I KNOW you've got crystal clear equipment for playback,.. so I'll have to rely on your opinion,.. are your vocals drowned out a bit during the heavy guitar insertions?.. or is it just my shitty laptop again?..

Vocals aren't mixed – they are just a scratch track
