This tune went through many variations while I was messing with different vocal ideas and lyrics but I kinda like how it turned out. The bridge vocal style was bold new ground for me – so please be kind with the comments! Had to give it a try! . Now stop reading and go rock out!

A standing ovation of squeals Brad,.. you did absolutely awesome in pulling that together and filling those gaps,.. I too, wondered with the relative slowdowns, how you were going to keep the flow of the song, but it just so happens, you had awesome lyrics and an edgey rap-speed rasp to do the trick, really impressive,..very impressive, I knew this song was a hit from day one when you presented it's raw structure, from there, I knew it would be pretty difficult for a collapse to occur,..but instead you advanced it, didn't hide behind the slipstream, you advanced it further, awesome riff, awesome rock grit on the vox, and a retro-feel about it aswell, tones of 80's anthem pop-rock,..you chose the right direction in each subtle change through the course of it all, there's just one thing though,… that I missed in a previous version,… the ending,.. after "Everyone" …there was more of a distinct choir of Brad's that hammered it home,… really do miss that, more Brad's needed, more the merrier,… but,.. overall,.. very spectacular, this'll be a frequent listen of mine!,.. tickles most of the right places..
94% ,…and would have been even higher had the ending been given the same spatial edge as previously,.. but still, what a fantastic song, actually proud of you mate, love that talented raspy rock grit you possess, and the electric whiskered bottle-neck you rode on like a dragon,.. and, you both blew the fire!
Brilliant stuff!
cool song brad i think i can hear you have put the effort in and it sure has paid off ..Everything about this is catchy and diverse. Really dynamic changes..I guess this is punk. It suits you down to a tee.. I like this this would have to be the one of the if not the best songs on the site to date..Pockets getting wet ? Thats just me pissing in them…Seriously good stuff havnt visited the site as of lately. Have been on a bit of a down lately..But the doctor prescribed coffee in the morning and beer during the day…And now the doctor is feeling better…Studio quality stuff here..Love the opening line chorus thing and its like a cool build up…I think this song tells a cool story about you..9.9 easy money hearing is made sweet with this
brad this is the best intro to a song on the site hands down, no bars hold, a solidly constructed punk song, almost struggle to fault your ideas and recording techniques here, vocal melody is tight and suits very nicely, i actually like the crazy "external" voices floating round the outside, (someone's been playing around in cubase?) although the change in the middle almost throws me, its on the border line of out of left field, but man this sounds like a fun track, almost like your taking a dig at punk styles but also pulling it off, so i have to give this 90%, solid job "my friend"
Damn, just that last part Brad,..the final straight, what happenned to the broad and intense harmonies that were present in the rawcut?…I recall you filled a cathedral hall of Brads and it was awesome,… Why oh why did you take the brake off it?,.. was it clipping issues perhaps?…. Absolutely loved the way you fed the guitar into the home stretch,.. it sounded like another voice, you can speak with your fucking guitar!!!!!!!!…what a freak!!!
Good, good style for a vocal like yours, and it paves the way for you to take advantage of your gnarley guitar skills too, anthem rock, whenever you choose it, like the sound of Bon Jovi 'Living on a prayer' ,..is effortlessly compatable for you I reckon.
well.. I kinda had to leave this as is (with the ending i dont like) as my PC wont let me load the song anymore for further tinkering.. was the most "tweaked" tune ive ever done and it has a fair few plugins and tracks going on.. My recording PC is a dinosaur.. Well over 7yrs old.. Gonna go out and buy more ram tomorrow so i can actually do the ending how i wanted.. Seems i'm trying to the most comp heavy work on the crappiest pc in the house.. lol.. I love it though.. makes me keep things simple..
>:) ,….so,… hows that ending finishing coming along Brad?… Oh yes, I'm exploring around this particular camp again like one of those perenial 'public picnic spot' goannas.
It's a fucken great catchy song,.. the rawcut version, was like a sweet crust, with a nice herb on the top of the pastry,.. this version, is the same sweet crust, filled with delicious and nutritious ingredients,.. but the single herb leaf was knocked off the top during the process, it isn't that big a deal ofcourse,.. lol (94%) .. but the last dip on a rollercoaster is always pretty memorable.
still having issues getting the set to load.. dont think it's corrupted.. just doesnt agree with the pc as is.. need a better pc and a more current operating system to make the most fo the ram – but that will also require a total reinstall of more audio progs than I have the patience to do.. lol…
what i'm trying to say is: prolly going to stay as is till i pull my finger out and go the whole hog and upgrade into something even semi current pc wise.. If it helps any – i dont like the ending as is either.. was better before..
My patience is starting to wear thin with my very old recording PC. Really want to end this one better and it doesnt look like my current comp has the goods to do it. Gonna start a forum topic for suggestions on what I should be shopping for.. This ones on the back burner till the upgrade happens..
