Brad Green – Creeping

A mid complete tune I recovered from an old corrupt harddrive this weekend..  I really plan on finishing this as I’m actually a fan of the bridge..  This is about 7yrs old – recorded when i 1st got to parkes back in 2003.  HDD crashed before i finished it, so its rough and ragged.. I didnt change anything before I posted it so I could compare to my newer stuff..   Needs work.. but I think the bridge is enough to motivate me to finish it.. and there is a big gaping hole for an acoustic  solo – sweeeett… hehe

I really like that Brad!,.. I can see potential most definitely, especially if given plenty of instruments,.. I think this would do real sweet with a little extra tropical drumbeat? or 'wood' – nature type, and some strings,.. and maybe even a little more broad spectral reverbed Brad backing hyms, one big Brad, and several little Brad's on your back like a mother spider and all her babies,..

I'd looooove to hear you work with DC on this one,.. I'm sure he could aid putting the appropriate meat on this formidable skeleton, unless you have a good program to add some of this suggetive depth already,..

Very, very nice,.. I've my eyes on the prize on the mainpage,.. by the sounds of this,.. along with Friend or Foe, you may be a major contributer to a little bit of a Freelabel golden era.

Wow bradley. I thoroughly enjoyed that song. I loved the guitar and melody….love the chord progressions….and the shining feature for me..was your vocals…I'm used to raspy, kind of rock style, but you stayed close to clean on this most the way through…nice falsetto work at the end and there were some solid high notes all the way throughout that really were great. One of my favorites by you by far, fits close to my genre of song writing too, so maybe I'm biased. But, hell, who care…it was great. There was one part that was a bit flat or off key slightly in the vocals, but otherwise, just awesome! Good job buddy
I'm tempted to put a backing vocal to that….add some harmonies for fun….if I do, I'll send it your way. If you are ok with that my friend?

Have at it Nate. This still very ragged at the moment – the off vocal notes really make me cringe.. lol.. a lot of the vocals will be tightened up/redone for the final.. Pretty much pushng the high limit of my voice on the outro – thus I missed a few of them.. haha..

Thanks for the promising comments from both of ya.. might do some more of this today and try to push it along..

Smashing Brad..It was like a mix of Goo Goo dolls and your own simple song. Only this was supercharged and flying down the track..
Its is a beautiful song..It appears the "Cartmen" rock sounding voice has gone. And it would be cool if D.C put some big strings in there..
Your shits always pretty pro these days especially when there done..I would probably prefer you to complete it and then get the others in..Anyways great song to kick off the new year! If this is a raw cut then all be afraid.

Oh yeah mate i remember this one, sounds awesome, i love you playing this style, you should be playing this stuff with nate for sure, i'd pay decent money to hear you guys play this sort of stuff…i remember smoking out on the balcony bit by the front door, beers in hand / spirits, these tunes playing in the background, afternoons in the sun playing guitar, drinking, modding xbox's….mate lots of fond memories of your old place in east st, great times, this song reminds me of it all….

I really like this one. And could for sure put some tasty strings on this., nothing to bold – that would take away from the intimacy of the guitar.

I would love to hear this with less verb on the vox – a smaller more open room or very light plate verb with a pre delay of about 30-40ms

Since you are using Cubase – let me know if you want to colab and Iwe can meet up and I could get session with the files from you.

thanks for the offer DC… Lemmie finish the parts and I'll get them to you to play with. I recorded this many years ago in Aus and only just rediscovered it.

I'm having troubles getting into the mood to complete it for some reason.. I really want to redo some of the vocals but am having a hell of a time getting a similar vox sound that will blend and not sound "pasted". As is some of the sections are really all over the place pitch wise but I fear it may be a total vox redo to correct it – and as i'm discovering – my voice is quite different now.. lol.. I like my old voice in this one.. it suits pretty well..

as this is rawcuts, i'll update the post with a second version using vox settings similar to your suggestions.. Think i smothered it in verb back in the day to try and hide the wayward notes! I see now I fooled no-one.. hahah..

haha.. and kudos to tim – "the Cartman voice" is actually pretty apt listening back to "friend or foe"… haha.. cant stop laughing at that – now it's all i can hear..
