Brad Green – Comeback – Original Idea

Now the band Polymer has split, I thought i’d dig out some of the solo home recordings I made when writing some of the music for the band.  These are pretty different to what we ended up playing..  Written for 2 guitarists.  Might try and finish these with drums and vocals.. will see..

Lovely tickle Brad,.. the scene that came into my head, was a boy being coerced to jump off the highest diving board,.. being piked up the ladder screaming by two bad banksia meanies,.. and then chocked up the back of the head with a hard slap off the tip, he wooshes deep under water, and is in a dreamy bliss of conquering his fear, from friend to foe, pardon the pun. It's all good, but I particularly loved the strident snap of your strings from 2:11 onwards, it was shrillish, thrillish oceania narnia, banging a mermaid in short, enjoyed it, welcome back.

i like this Brad. It has so much potential. Would be good if you could direct one of your bands to play stuff like that. Some complimenting drums would be the perfect recipe for a successful sound of destruction.
Has a lot of changing moods in this song so it probably would be an emotional journey ,it would be interesting to see what the blob can do.

Really liked it. Had a moment in the solo that reminded me of planet caravan. While I was listening I wanted to pick up my guitar and jam along. Sounded good!

oh brad this is sooooo much better with a second guitar, specifically on the intro, its like the butter in my sandwich was missing the whole time….lol, the bendy heavy riff reminds me of need for speed hot pursuit 2 on the playstation 2, which is an awesome thing, round the same era as this, so lots of nice changes in there, depending on what vocalist got hole of this it could be great….i'd love to hear some more of these…..

added the band version for comparison.. you really cant beat a real drummer and bass player for adding true oomph to a tune.. quite different to the original idea, but still very fun to play..
