A new style for us, layed back and cruisy but just as intense as ever, this track went through a few different iterations but landed on what we have here. Let us know what you think…

Lovely little detailed nibbles from cobb to cobb, excellent how there seemed like a subtle insertion within every 4 bars without the risk of dish clutter, the only clutter here was a shining whistling plate spinning on top of a broom-handle, you have tune construction mastered Daiyv, it’s a great learning tool for me personally if I ever to everybodies horror get back into it, the progressive variants of percussion and effects were awesome, it was like DNA mapping, this tune could create a butterfly out of air-born particles of leaf litter, you Darwinesque monster! ..Apart from the sophisticated craftsmanship, it was a tune that struck a sweet nerve, my spine wire was plucked like a harp, a collaboration of sounds from bullfrog lows to cricket violin highs, notes short and droning to sharp and pecky, the success of genesis fission, you should be laughing like a lunatic Daiyv,….. IT LIVES!
I give credit to the descriptive lyrics, the vocal structure was decent in it’s use of backers in places targetted to emphasise timing and flow in cooperation with the melody,.. but the lead vocal was generally too strained and monotone in pitch, it seemed to be at a high full throttle climax from start to end, I would have liked a bit more airation, some tickling between the octaves.
Good job troops, I’m loving this latest surge of offence, the forum may be fucked with spam, but you have reconquered the mainpage! .. *waving a flag in the streets, a military parade for all.
Very cool to be hearing new tunes again.. I actually like how this site goes through seemingly untriggered periods of activity and dormancy in its posts.. keeps itself honest.. anyways – to the tune.. thats a lot of delays… lol.. a bit much for me but it does set up a nice watery ambience.. Vocal lyrics were cool but im not sure about the delivery.. seemed to be a bit too loose in many places – the lazy “train of thought” style works, but for me, needs to be limited to sections, rather than be the theme (similar to my delay objection). I really like the sound when there are vocal harmonys at equal volume to the main.. seems to resolve the overly vowely delivery in the main vocal track when they match.. Still really dig Tims vocals.. but this ones delivery is a bit chewy for me.. Would love to hear a stripped down version.. less delays on the git and a more straight up vocal style.. It’s got the chops imo, but needs to be focused to make the most of em..
Ill agree with you both.I guess a new rendition would be nice for this but i think that the foundations are pretty solid.
I did get a little lazy with the lyrics wich in one part clearly died but the right pitch was there.
When i got this i relized it was light in its sound so i was experimenting by being aggressive in the way i sung it.
I tried to really bring it home in the end with a chorus that sounds slightly different to the first rather than the cut and paste methods that become slightly sterile after a while.
Dave the master composer has nailed this in my opinion like always.
If any comment i think the programs restrict him of what the drums could truly sound like if it was a real kit. All we need is brad to move back and use all his freakish equipemient.
Thanks for the comments jack and brad.
Hey guys, sorry for the late reply…
Jack – Thanks for the kind words, i’m happy you enjoyed it and i’m blushing like a mofo at all the nice things you had to say about it, you have made me feel a million dollars!,
B-Rad – i understand what you mean about the delay, although you should know by now i tend to over-do each track i lay down, in one area or another, i’m never really trying to mimic a real life sound space or vision, i just try to make them as unrealistic as possible, i guess i’m just trying to build different experiences, but i also see your angle and cant help but think your spot on the money…
So this track has had many strange and subtle iterations, initially it was a fast heavier hitting melody with fast sample beats, after some advice from the master Nate, i slowed it down and took away the nasty bee nest, and it got more personable and cruizy, i think if tim wants to touch it up we can always go back and tweak and have fun, but as it stands i think its a nice addition to the bullet style we usually play.
Dave can you please release another beast when you get a chance..I still liked the “boiler” idea that was a ripper.
Should make a hall of the shit that all the unaprooved songs go to, that would be cool.
I can handle the critics. Can everyone else?
Howdy gents,
I like this track…I heard it from the get go, actually through a vocal line on it as well…which was probably boring….but really like this melody. Love the vox on this from you Mr. Tim. There was an awesome harmony part that stood out midway…not sure the spot but definitely hit it and I grinned with glee. As I listen to the guitar, maybe it’s the headphones I’m on dave, but seems a bit muffled, would like to hear a more clearer mid/high range eq’d for the guitar so it stands out more…but they may just be preference. It sits in the back nicely and that may clash with the picking part. Anyway, food for thought. Really interesting cool melodies and vox style timmy as usual, that’s what I love about what you do. keep it up, all of us.
