I’ve been sitting on this little gem for a little while now, initially recorded this and sent through to Nate as we had been talking about doing some collaboration stuff. Nate then threw these vocals on it and I selfishly held on to it since then. This is quite basic 2 verse 2 chorus cut but is totally unfinished at the moment, I have written a bridge for it and am working on tying it all together hopefully very soon. Must note that Nate’s vocals are amazing and have really brought this tune to life, watch this space for more…
If I were a fish in this fancy resteraunt, I’d be swimming smoooooooooothly from left to right even knowing one day I’ll be on the plate, a dim atmosphere, I wouldn’t be suprised if Sade was in there wibbling her lips around and blowing smoke rings at you, proposing marriage perhaps?… well you’ve certainly played your cards right. That was sly and slick, alleycats walk with thier tails in the air, toads in the swamp smoke cigars, you’ve bluesed a goon bag, this is the first of it’s kind, you’re informed that George Michael wants to kill you, but you know that with Goro from Mortal Kombat at the door, his super-soaker is short of range even if he makes a fight of it and has his head popped like champagne. Well done on your exploration of this field, it was a nice collaboration, very sensual.
it should be noted that Nate literally threw these vocals on this tune.. dave sent it to him, 30mins later this is the result.. pretty god damn impressive mate.. and really like the style you have here dave.. the first time ive heard this kinda thing from you.. with just a little polish its going to be really really good.. heh.. dave doing lounge/jazz.. who’d have thunk it? im a big fan of the tone in the little lead runs.. getting quite the tele sound out of that guitar.. crossing my fingers for an updated version as the idea is pretty damn solid.. nice stuff…

I actually think this is my favorite post of the last 6 months.. it just works.. i would travel to see a show of you guys if it was all this style.. i can see it now – classy bar, mood lighting and alot of people asking "who are therse guys?".. It’s really good.. leading the tFML pack in my book.. can you guys do some more stuff together?.. please???
She reminds me of Sade in ‘Smooth Operator’ , the atmosphere,..^ that’s why I made reference to Sade in my opening post, doing a backflip and squeezing her legs around Nate’s head in appreciation.
