Ahhh, I heard the Woooooooooolbah voice early in this one!… or was it the bunny voice?… interesting,.. but,.. I don't quite know what to say about the tune because it's a rawcut, it's very short,..and not yet finished,.. I liked the wavering warble you howled around 0:33,.. you got a nice high note in ya.

There is some stuff you have, that has not yet been released onto this site,..file name '08 My Song 7' that I've got on the desktop is pretty good,.. fork over some more ya wibblin' yabby tail.

I thought I might hear some kind of Maiden-like song (Number of the Beast springs to mind). Raw Cut for sure.

Finally! A comment from DC! yay to that. Short and done….No room for boredom sure i could have repeated a few verses here and there but nahhhhhh shes about all it can be…..Rawcut maybe but that generally means Im still working on it in this case with my lack of equipment this is the peak of the mountain. Unless i start beating on a tin can….
Thanks for the comment DC like this song ay short and beautiful.

    Allow me to expand…

As I sat staring out the window, this song came up. The first riff suddenly and without warning, took me back to a time of youth. I remember a lovely gal moving to the beat of the music across the room. Her perfectly ratted hair stood at least 6 inches tall – the inverse of her mini-skirt. I could almost make make out the soft and rounded curvature of a cheek peaking out, whispering of sweet romance.

But then the rest of the song started. I was jarred back to the bleakness that lay outside window, with its gray and dreary complexion. The music seemed a distance reminder and augmentation to the scene that lay before me the perfect underscore to complete the mood.

Thankfully it was over before demon spawn bared it fangs.

    🙂

wow what language was I typing? Good grief. I must be getting old – leaving out words and using the wrong words.

Absolutely love the attention you are giving me here.It is remarkable, we all do make mistakes from time to time..I do it all the tim….Now let break it on DoWn….You where staring out the window…Im thinking a place of familiarity..Home..right? Took you back to a time of youth..Teenager…Music playing from across the room…lots of houses played music….. "whispering" Arses fart ok..they dont whisper chocolate secrets..And why was mum wearing a mini?
    hahahahah
You are right second listen to that and it is a bit like "whatever"..I can see that..The vocal like was slapped onto it like wall paper…I was pretty happy with the riff but wasn't so happy with that staring riff. I thought it was bleak repetitive..
No i agree mate you are right in this case and it is short..Might pry this one back open and tinker with it….Once Dave gets back on ill have this placed in rawcuts ..Thanks for the comment DC i appreciate the length effort and humor. People like you and mangrove who will keep the magic of the label alive. Because without it then this would all be pointless.

What I thought made it a rawcut apart from the length was the fuzzy lyrics, you need to lend your tunes a soul or a story, you are skilled enough now, to cease experimenting for what simply 'sounds good' ,..and although it may be the primary motivater in constructing your tunes, it really will assist you in the value and quality of the track to define specifically the interpretation of the sound with a projectional image of words, ya stimulate the ears, but in fragments, are missing out on stimulating the mind,.. bits and pieces are not recogniseable, except for perhaps the choruses,.. you give yourself a real good hint about what words sound best in certain areas along with the music,.. maybe you should analyse the sound you made, convert those areas to actual sentences of a similar pronounciation and see if it will make sense in it's plot to the chorus,.. it may not take that much of an effort in converting this from a rawcut to a wholesome tune.

Still it is a frequent testament to your talents, to almost be able to get away with this,..it means your song structures and vocal abilities are consistantly appealing,…
…..SO only thing left for you to do, is dot the i's and cross the t's and then things will be about as sweet as the spike of Hablab's robotic and subservient energy levels towards burrowing mines in pot plants.

love the riff at 0:43 – with the vocal melody your doing it's easily strong enough to be the heart of the song IMO.. I really dont mind the intro at all.. i can see how you thought it might be a bit simple and repetitive, but I'm sure you listened to it a bunch while recording and editing. As a 1st time listener however, it never entered my mind.

I'm not a fan of the effect on your vocals after the the intro though.. Seems to take away from your cool natural voice and mush it up too much. I'm not a big fan of dramatic fx on vocals in general though, so it may not be an accurate dislike for this song..

I also hear this as a rawcut – would be a damn shame to not use that chorus riff/melody as the basis for a full tune..

    I vote for more.

Ok…I'm with everyone else on this nifty little beginning. too short! Waiting for the next verse, bridge and ending chorus? Added all up you've got your 3 minute song. I would like to hear your voice without all the effects…you have the voice – don't cover it up. Maybe for the effect you are driving for here you leave it for the chorus only…just an idea? For what it's worth I like where it's going…so open it back up and let us hear the full version.

When DC does these 1:07 teasers Mangrove gets really angry 🙂

nice rocking track man, love the little change at the beginning with the crazy stop start, awesome….but then nothing>? man you have to add more from my point of view, do like the octave high little accent, interesting melody lines, going to have to hear more though…..

Nah Fats he's talking about the 1:04 second 'Gone' rawcut,.. that was like sliding meat across a crocodiles tongue before it could have a snap, they yanked it up and out of the water, but they delivered eventually and I finally got to squeeze the juices.

I actually never quite noticed what happenned at 1:07 ?.. whatever it was, my receptors missed it,.. I was more concerned with constantly missing out on your potential to create imagery with your witts, because you got everything else well and truelly under control,.. just the last part is always missing, like loose shoe-laces on a pair of Reebok pumps.
